Dr. Yaron Brook on "State of ARI"
Dr. Yaron Brook will discuss the exciting accomplishments and challenging plans of the Ayn Rand Institute. The presentation is a special opportunity to gain insight into the work of the ARI and to discuss any questions you have about ARI.

Dr. Brook is the president and executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute. As a recognized expert on Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand, Dr. Brook has been interviewed extensively by the print, radio and television media for the Objectivist position on current events, including the Middle East conflict, terrorism, environmentalism, animal "rights," the energy crisis and religion. Among his recent interviews have been appearances on Talk Back Live (CNN), Your World with Neil Cavuto (Fox News Channel), The O'Reilly Factor (Fox News Channel) and Alan Keyes Is Making Sense (MSNBC).

He has published in academic as well as popular publications, taught and lectured extensively in the United States and abroad on issues related to the Middle East conflict, terrorism and American foreign policy, finance and ethics, international finance, banking and corporate governance. His years of service in Israeli Army Intelligence, along with extensive research, have given him an expertise on the Middle Eastern conflict and terrorism, and American foreign policy in that region. Many college campuses around the country have hosted his most recent talk: "The Moral Case for Supporting Israel." As an entrepreneur, he founded three companies, including Lyceum International (a firm specializing in Objectivist conferences and distance-learning courses) and BH Equity Research, a venture-capital consulting firm in San Jose, California, in which he is still a managing partner.

Dr. Brook was an assistant professor of finance for seven years at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, where he received numerous teaching awards. He also developed an award winning class on finance and ethics. He holds a B.Sc. in civil engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA and Ph.D. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
